The Self Leak Test Procedure allows the user to evaluate SmartArm™ for leaks and to verify proper operation. SmartArm's leak rate should be less than or equal to 3 mmHg. If readings exceed this please contact the factory for help and service information. To perform this test, please follow these instructions: - Power Up SmartArm and follow instructions to enter the Main Menu.
- Press F1 (LEAKTST) to enter the Leak Test Mode.
- Press F3 (AUTO) which becomes F3 (MANUAL).
- Connect the Inflation Bulb Adapter to the pressure port of the SmartArm, and then connect the Leak Test Adapter (plugged at one end) to the Inflation Bulb Adapter.
- Use the Inflation Bulb to inflate the system up to 200 mmHg /- 20 mmHg.
- Allow 10-20 seconds for the pressure to stabilize, then press the F4 (START) key to start the Test.
- In Leak Test Mode, the top of the screen will display "Start P." (P=Pressure), "P. Drop", "Timer" and "Manometer". At the end of sixty seconds, the "Pressure Drop" and "Timer" will freeze and display the pressure drop as the leak rate in mmHg per minute. The Pressure Drop should be less than, or equal to, 3mmHg.
- Press the F5 (PREV) key to return to the Main Menu.
