Datex-Ohmeda pulse oximeters require different SmartSat™ Simulator Cables depending on the model to be tested. For the SmartSat “Oximeter” setting, all Ohmeda-Type * pulse oximeters are tested using the Ohmeda mode on the SmartSat's front panel, and all Datex-Type ** pulse oximeters are tested using the Datex mode on the SmartSat's front panel.
No new Probe Test Cables are required for any of these models.
* Note: Ohmeda-Type pulse oximeters are identified by the pulse oximeter probe used. Ohmeda-Type probes use a circular, hard-plastic, 9-pin connector (typically, only 7 pins are populated) with a “press-to-release” locking clip.
** Note: Datex-Type pulse oximeters are identified by the pulse oximeter probe used.
Datex-Type probes use a circular, 10-pin connector (typically, only 7 pins are populated). The Datex-Type circular connector has a larger diameter than the Ohmeda-Type.
